MTA strongly believes it cannot be state-of-the-art in all competencies. MTA long time ago therefor decided to focus on the skills of working together, of partnering, of identifying world leading partners and creating strategic cooperations. Next to being top-class in mechatronics and customer specific robot development we believe our core competence to be organizing ecosystems. To support this, we have a large professional network of partners around us. This eco-system consists of parties which we know and trust, which are leading in their field of expertise and with whom we can engage quickly when we need competences and/or capacity. This allows us to be scalable, lean and flexible and able to cost effectively handle projects of wildly varying size and complexity.
We are truly a network director; we know how to connect the entire network from customer, development, engineering, supply chain (partners) and production (partners) in such a way that a complementary collaboration is created. This method of working together makes us a leader in the mechatronics industry. We do have one primary strength and specialty, which is combining and connecting “product development with production”.

TECHNOLOGY COMPETENCE CENTER
An important aspect within the V² model is Design For Manufacturing (DFM), because manufacturability, reproducibility and cost-conscious design also determine the success of the final business case. It is therefore important that knowledge of modern production techniques and industrialization is further developed and secured within MTA. This happens throughout our organization, but also specifically in the Technology Competence Center. The purpose of the Technology Competence Center is to build a bridge between product development and manufacturability, so that we can jointly develop a product that not only meets the technical requirements but can also later be produced in series at the best price-performance ratio.
Agrobotics
We know what is important to growers. The application of robotics provides a significant increase in efficiency and is simultaneously a solution for the shortage of available personnel in agriculture and horticulture. Greenhouses are rapidly being transformed into high-tech systems where robots take over the repetitive work from people. Working with crops requires very specific applications such as 'gripping soft fruit' or 'seeing' the ripeness of fruit. This requires the expertise of MTA.
